If you live in Chicago on a day like today when the sun is shining and the fresh air is irresistible. It’s so easy to fall back in love with a city so full of super friendly, tough working people who live in their own special paradise, a series of neighborhoods each unique in style, cuisine and even language.
Chicago is a city that works, as much as we like to complain about the weather, the traffic, or even the corruption. We are the benefactors of an organized city where ultimately our city alderman are responsible to the people who live in their neighborhoods thus making sure that the trees are trimmed the alleys (who else has these wonderful roads to riches and fun) are clean, the garbage is picked up and our sidewalks are safe.
The Mayor has to work with our alderman, this has given us the inhabitants of this exciting city the power to help Chicago grow and change into an even more magnificent city and each and every one of us have contributed to its greatness with our individual contributions.
It’s a city where things get done and we appreciate all the dedicated folks who make that happen including our police officers many of whom also work at top notch security firms like Blue Star Security LTD, the fire department, the city workers, the city planners, the activists, the bold and brilliant architects, superb chefs, great sports teams, famous artists and great museums.
We have two great airports, a huge highway system, great public transportation, a TV and movie making empire that includes Cinespace, a state of the art studio that is growing every year along with a rich tech environment. We can also include a powerful financial market along with great hospitals, research centers and universities.
Chicago is not an easy city to live in and maybe it’s not for everyone but for those of us who are lifelong residents and even those who are new to the city it’s a mecca of cultural diversity, a city full of people with big hearts and a work ethic second to none and just keeps getting better.
